Towards Integrated QoS Management

Emerging communication subsystems need to integrate support for an increasing variety of applications, such as audio, video, and conventional data traffic. These applications are characterized by highly different service requirements commonly expressed in terms of socalled quality of service parameters (QoS parameters). Most importantly, they require specialized end-to-end QoS support from the communication system.
